  • Spent Aug 1970 to Aug 1971 keeping those "hogs" running. Both the M110 8 inch and M107 175mm (shown) ate fan belts. Used a matched set of four, but I would split them and use two at a time. Needed a radiator hose once and went to a hardware store in An Loc and bought one. While there I also drove a farmers John Deere, not sure of the model, but European (Germany?).

  • I'm wondering if one of these guys is my father-in-law. He was a welder/mechanic with what he called the motorcades. Traveling around with them fixing, repairing, welding on what blew off, keeping everything running.

  • My uncle was in country in 1965-66. He worked solely on replacing the barrels on the M107's. Has hearing problems to this day.

  • In country 71 -72 with a 105 unit on a firebase up north close to Hue. Can still sing, though not very good, "Country Road Take Me Home" and "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place" after hearing it so many times.
